Between each vertebra, there are discs that act as shock absorbers. When they are in good condition, they absorb impact and allow you to move without pain.
But over time, from sitting for too long, working hunched over, driving, or simply due to our current lifestyle... Your lumbar spine undergoes repeated compression — and gradually, the discs lose their ability to rehydrate. They flatten. The space between the vertebrae decreases. And the pressure on the surrounding structures increases.
This is exactly what causes:
- back pain that returns as soon as you move
- the morning stiffness that forces you to straighten up slowly
- that dull tension in the lower back after 20 minutes of sitting
- that feeling of a stuck back that never fully releases
And as long as you don't rehydrate your lumbar intervertebral discs, the pain will never truly disappear.
Patrick Vapoux Je souffre de lombalgie chronique depuis 2 ans. Mon médecin me parlait d'infiltrations voire même d'opération.
